Australia In A Van

Jesse's longest dream has been to rent a van in Australia and drive across the country. So here we are on the second leg of our journey.  We flew into Perth Australia and got our home on wheels. We were very lucky to get an upgrade from what we had originally bought. The only slight problem is that it is difficult to park. With the obstacle of its size and the fact that we are driving on the other side of the road we have had a few laughs and a few screams of "Jesse Jesse Jesse" along the way.

The first night we stayed in Fremantle. We were able to have a nice walk along the beach, stopped by a local brewery called Little Creatures and then picked up our van and drove to Cottesloe where Jesse used to live. I got the full tour of the beach, where he lived, and the liquor store where he made $22.00 an hour and spent $22.00 an hour. We were even lucky enough to fly the drone, which was quite surprising, but we got the "good on ya mate" from the head lifeguard.

Our second night was spent on the side of a highway pit stop where I was bit about eight times in two minutes and Jesse nada. Maybe not the most glamorous evening out, but I will take it over a tent! We spent the night watching a movie, eating Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich and leftover gummy worms that mom gave us for our travels.

The next day we were able to meet up with one of Jesse's friends Ingrid from when he went to school here in Perth. She now lives with her boyfriend in Bunbury and was able to show us a bit of town including "Gnome Village". You read right. Picture 100,000 gnomes sitting in the woods. A bit odd, but not something you see everyday.

For the past few days we have hit Fremantle, Bunbury and will move onto Margaret River next for a few wine tours.
